This brings "Under Pressure" to its tragic end. I based this story on a painting I did almost 10 years ago in college. It was a mxed media piece of a man underwater bound by a ball and chain and surrounded by danger. I wanted to create a story around the image of someone sinking and doing it intentionally. The ball and chain became figurative, and the story just conceived itself after that. I read some Edgar Allan Poe to nail down the tone and themes I was interested in (The unreliable narrator telling his story to an invisible audience before the inevitable end, a death that is avenged by the narrator's own psychosis, etc) I'm really proud of the way it turned out and I hope you all liked it!
Next week, I start a new story that is very different in it's approach than anything I've done so far. Fans of Hip hop music should be able to appreciate it on another level but it is meant to be enjoyed by all (...or most. Little impressionable kids--please stay away from my comics). Tell a friend! -JM
A Grassfed Comic is a webcomic
anthology series updated every Monday. Written, drawn and lettered by me. It has all the things I love (like animals, horror, and people getting punched in the face) and will be visually experimental so bear with me. The only
constant here will be change. Thanks for coming, and if you like it, spread the word! Enjoy!
