As you know, a great deal of this story takes place in Jamaica and as such, the people in it (and specifically on this page) speak the native dialect, patois. Being Jamaican, I hear patois everytime I speak to anyone in my family and while I'm familiar with it, I'm sure it's strange to anyone who has never heard it or had to read it. Grab the nearest Jamaican and ask them to translate. Enjoy!
